Dr Whitehead is an experienced adult psychiatrist. Dr Whitehead has 25 years of experience as a general adult psychiatrist and has worked in three different states in Australia. From 2004 to 2017 she worked at New Farm Clinic in Brisbane seeing inpatients and outpatients and is now concentrating more on outpatient work.

She is lesbian and gay friendly, interested in areas of anxiety disorders, including OCD and PTSD, depression, eating disorders, bipolar affective disorder, psychosis and psychotherapy. Dr Whitehead is experienced with CBT, DBT and EMDR therapies.

Dr Whitehead has limited private practice hours at The Yeronga Clinic and does not provide private psychiatric ‘in patient’ care. Dr Whitehead also does not provide a private emergency ‘on call’ service.
